The Cost of breaking a new territory

Hello beloved, I pray that as you read, you will catch a word in Jesus Name.

The most valuable asset in breaking new grounds is catching a revelation from God. Isa 9:8. Who you know is actually not the issue. What you know is the matter. Who you know today may not be there tomorrow but what you know stays with you. One genuine word from the Lord is enough to change your entire world. Word for your business, word for your family…

Beloved, this is our year to break forth into a new realm and break new grounds, in Jesus mighty name.

So what are the costs of breaking a new territory?

Text: Matt 13:44-46; Luke 14:28-30. our generation, unfortunately is not ready to pay the price, we just want to get the feat. Whereas every prize carries a price. Prov 27:21. There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Using the analogy of opening a new farmland. There are 5 steps:

Ridging and

Breaking new grounds is thus very costly. Old lands just require planting. New grounds require the entire 5 steps before there can be a harvest. Jesus broke new grounds and he was stretched to accomplish it, preaching all day long, fasting for 40 days and 40 nights etc. Breaking new grounds is costly and tedious. That’s why many people stay with the status quo; because of the seeming unbearable costs that breaking new territories demand.

The cost of of breaking a new territory will be classified into 3;

1) The spiritual cost – except a man builds a house, they labour in vain that build it. We need to be connected to God for all the help that we need. This help comes by revelation of the truth in the word and by prayers. We need to spend time with God and develop spiritually. Those that know their God, they shall be strong and they shall do exploits Dan 11:32b. God has given us all things that we will ever require in our life in His word and they are delivered to us through our insight and revelations from studying it. Job said…as it was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle…when I washed my steps with butter and the rocks poured out rivers of oil Job 29:4-5. We need to also invest in prayers. The insight of Job was his strength in his days of trouble and he overcame at last. No matter what you are going through, you will overcome in Jesus Name. Job 29:2-18.

Every divinely guided investment will yield results. Only those that are not inspired by God fail. Prov 16:25 – there’s a way that seemeth right to a man but the end thereof is destruction.

Say this – I must must invest spiritually in my life, I must invest spiritually in my business, I must invest spiritually in my marriage, I must invest in the word and prayers.

Why must we invest spiritually? The answer is simple. To be spiritually minded is life and peace, to be carnally minded is death Rom 8:6.

2) The intellectual cost
Isa 5:13 my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Knowledge is power. We need a working knowledge of any venture we are embarking on. Any vision that is void of adequate information will result into frustration. You have to research and have adequate information to drive your vision, and get in line with your calling. Many people embark on business or other endeavors without adequate intellectual investment. That’s why many businesses don’t even outlive their founders or even see the brighter light at the end of the tunnel. Isa 33:6; wisdom and knowledge are stabilizers of destiny. Many of us are kinda lazy, we don’t even read. Abraham Lincoln said “you are the same person you are today in 5 years except for two things; the books you read and the company you keep”. May God give us the grace to invest in our destinies in the name of Jesus. Give yourself to the things you find, that your profiting may appear to all, 1 tim 4:15. Our ignorance is our biggest mountain. Let’s increase our desire for learning.

3) Physical cost
Every success story is traced to investment of time, energy and resources. We need energy to maximize our destiny. Even Christ said “I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day, for the night Cometh when no man can work John 9:4. High level energy is a requirement for high level accomplishment. Let’s stop being tired. A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep, so shall your poverty come to you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man proverbs 6:10-11. That’s how failure comes in. Failure shall not be our portion in Jesus Name. In all labour, there is profit. God is not mocked, what so ever a man sows, that shall he reap Gal 6:7.

The mistake people make is to think what is invested to make it in life is money but that’s not correct. I’m sure We all have seen where large financial investments were made to various endeavors but still crumbled.

These 3fold investment is essential for a breakthrough. Wealth gotten by vanity shall diminish; but he that gathereth by labour shall increase prov 13:11.

Sisters, let’s start working what we want as we begin this new year. Let’s prepare our work in the field, make it fit for ourselves and afterwards build our house. We will be required to set aside some conveniences and importantly religious traps (God will do it for me kinda mentality).

Let’s not just talk it, let’s start working it. What you don’t market won’t sell, what you don’t trade will be trashed therefore prepare your work in the field, make it fit for yourself and afterwards build your house proverbs 24:27.

Let’s ask for grace and energy to drive the plan and purpose of God for our lives.

We shall all testify of outcomes of our investment in Jesus Name. Amen.

Forward ever, backward never! Peace!
