The Spirit of excellence

Hello beloved, today we will be sharing briefly on the Spirt of Excellence. What does it really mean for a woman to have the spirit of excellence?

Daniel 6:3 KJV
[3] Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

An article I read on sermon central stated that Daniel’s spirit was the result of the way he handled himself, and the way he treated other people, and most of all, the manner in which he served his God. People could see all that in him.

I see an excellent spirit as the harmonization of all that we are (private and public) into the perfect image of God for us. The world defines excellence by different standards: beauty, complexion, background, network, wealth, marital status, career, children, power etc.

The truth is that the world has affected our value system and aspirations in one way or another. While some of these ideas are not bad in themselves, we cannot afford to get carried away by them. We cannot define ourselves by them. We are different: the world cannot judge us because it didn’t make us. Yes, we have some things and we may not have others: one thing that matters is how all these form part of the master’s plan for us. We never really have it all figured out. We take one step at a time until we become all that God has planned for us.

Excellence is not the availability of all the eye popping things of life, rather, it is the conscious knowledge of who God is to us and who we are in him. This is what really made the difference in the lives of women who have been praised in the Bible. Women like Ruth, who abandoned the gods of her people and chose beyond doubt to embrace the God of Naomi. Women like Rahab, who even though she was a prostitute, had the revelation of who God is

I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us…. The Lord, your God he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath (Joshua 2:9-11).

Women like Mary Magdalene, who anointed the feet of Jesus with the finest perfume and wiped his feet with her hair. Women like, Mary, the mother of Jesus who kept herself pure and was found worthy to carry the messiah of the world in her womb.

This is what excellence means in the kingdom of God. We carry the spirit of excellence when like Joseph, we are not carried away and lured to sin against God. Many examples are there in the Bible. Today, we are the examples that the world is looking at. We are the image of God in the fallen world. Our lives represent perfection. We are the solution to the problems of he world. We are the ones who intercede for the ungodly men, we intercede for children and show them through our life, the way they are to live. We basically model God everywhere we go. Our life is not different in various scenarios- we are the same everywhere. Same attitude we show outside is what we show to our immediate families, colleagues and neighbors. May God help us🙏🏻 This is what our life is about: Ephesians 2:10 KJV [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

When we have an excellent spirit, we don’t think that others are less to us or judge them as unspiritual. We work and live with the knowledge that we are products of grace. When things work out for us, it is not because we worked hard for it, it is because God gave us the grace to achieve them. We live a life of total dependence on God- even for the little things.

We understand that God has plans for us which supersedes any other plan we may have. God wishes for us to have life💃

John 10:10 KJV
[10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
(3 John 2-5)

We are the daughters of the great king. We mirror God to other women in the world. People will take decisions based on what they see us do. Our influence is far reaching, beyond what we may ever know. God holds us in high esteem, he has blessed us and given us all that pertains to life and godliness. We need to go about our daily lives with this knowledge.
“Though things work the way we planned or not, God had given us an excellent spirit which translates to everything we do”
Situations will change because we got involved. Miracles will begin to happen in our lives and those of people around us because we exercise our faith. We are coming to full maturity now as women of faith. We are taking charge. We are becoming perfected. We are liberated from the things that have held us bound. Situations no longer define us but we define them. Now we have boldness to challenge things that are wrong. Now, we have a voice. We are no longer forsaken nether can we be ignored.

We have been perfected by the potter. We carry an excellent spirit. Wr are the daughters of the great king! Hallelujah.

Prayer:
1. Father, I thank you for honouring my life with your presence. It is indeed an honour to be called God’s own. This position is higher than any human relationship, bigger than any benefit a husband or father can give.
2. Help me to begin to see myself the way you see me. A lot of us are not conscious of what we carry. We don’t see the grace that is in us. God open our eyes to behold your glory that is upon us.
3. Father, let excellence be seen all around me, let the spirit of excellence that has been released upon me begin to manifest. Let me no longer be hidden, rejected or abandoned.
4. Everywhere I have experienced pain, give me double honour. Let my glory be seen by men. No more sorrow from now on in Jesus name.
5. Let me begin to work into my purpose. Let healing flow through me. Let the spirit of excellence in me be at work for your glory. Let Jesus be seen in me.
